Pastel Art Bearfruit Workshop

Pastel is coloured chalk, composed of powdered pigment and a binder. It can be used for painting portraits, figures, landscapes, seascapes, still life, floral subjects, animals and wildlife and abstracts. This painting medium is vibrant, colourful and easy to use. Pastel paintings, when properly kept, can remain beautiful and fresh for many years.

The National Library Board, together with local pastel artists, is organising a pastel art workshop where participants will learn about pastel art and its techniques. Participants will produce their own pastel art at the end of the workshop, with guidance from pastel art experts. There will be two runs of the workshop, in English and Mandarin, consisting of 4 sessions each (over 4 weekends). Please note that this workshop is open to participants aged 18 and above.
