Session #1
Saturday, 23 July, 11am – 1pm
Ang Mo Kio Public Library, Programme Zone

Introduction to miniatures & Setting Up of Blogshops
Part 1: Participants will learn about the basics of Miniatures Creation which includes:

• measurements and scale
• various colouring mediums to use with Air Dry Clay
• how to handle and store Air Dry Clay
• basic tools for working with Air Dry Clay
• drying and sealing of Air Dry Clay
• using Breads as an object, participants will learn more on the ‘hows’ of mixing and colouring clay to resemble breads.

Part 2: Participants will learn the basics of setting up their very own blogshop
In the second part of the workshop, participants will learn more on the essentials of setting up a blog shop as a retail front to sell their miniatures.
The syllabus will include:
• the basics of taking good pictures
• how to specify the measurements and materials when listing the products for sale
• how to set up payment gateway
• how to ship and handle the miniatures
• an introduction of other sales avenues online

Session #2
Saturday, 30 July, 11am – 1pm
Ang Mo Kio Public Library, Programme Zone

Going Deeper into variations of Miniatures
In this session, participants will delve deeper into the mechanics to make their craft more attractive through:
• learning how to handle very small items
• working with translucency to achieve better results
• understanding various mediums suitable for translucency
• conceptualisation of cakes/danishes for use in Session #3

Session #3
Saturday, 6 August, 11am – 1pm
Bishan Public Library, Programme Zone

Adding parts to make a whole – the masterpiece!
In this session, participants will get to create a larger masterpiece through the additions of their various masterpieces by:
• making danishes and croissants
• making cake bases,creams and textures for cake slices
• create creams for danishes/cakes
• Items to make includes: differently shaped fruit danishes, decorated whole cakes and decorated and textured sliced cakes

Session #4
Saturday, 13 August, 11am – 1pm
Bishan Public Library, Programme Zone

Presentation!
At this finale, participants will have a chance to share within themselves on the blog sites and masterpieces they have created through the workshop.


Requirements:
a. A commitment to attend all 4 sessions
b. Comfortable with working with crafts: Clay and paint

The winning entry will have a chance for his/her works to be showcased in our GoLibrary Publication.
